Henry House | Patio Suite

The host was phenomenal! He regularly kept me updated on things to see and do (with links) well before my trip. That really helped in laying out an itinerary. He was most accommodating when I requested a slightly later check-out, which might not always be possible if one guest is coming right on the heels of another.The location was perfect! It's literally across the street from the beautiful riverfront walkway that leads downriver to the Shakespearean Garden, and upriver to the Festival Theatre (and beyond). The downtown shops (loved Gallery Indigena for Inuit carvings) and restaurants are two blocks away on Ontario Street, and two more to Downie. For dining I really enjoyed The Bijou at the Church, Bluebird, Pazzo Pizzeria, and The Prune. The large Festival Theatre is about a 15-20 minute walk along the river (and the Art in the Park art sale is on the way). The smaller Avon Theatre is about a 10 minute walk on Downie Street. The Tom Patterson Theatre is just around the corner from the Henry House.The Patio Suite which I stayed in was very nice, with a sun room (love seat, table & chairs, and mini-fridge), bedroom, bath, and a perfect little patio where I had my coffee (from Balzac's, two blocks away) and let my dog watch the passers-by.There's much to do that I didn't get to. The plays at the Festival were outstanding. I'm looking forward to returning next year.

We had a wonderful stay at Henry House. Brett gave us loads of information prior to our arrival regarding the property, including a short video tour, as well as suggestions about restaurants and activities in Stratford. The location is amazing, literally across the street from the Tom Patterson theater and just a short walk to the main part of town. The house was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. No criticism whatsoever from us, we feel lucky to have discovered it and hope to return.

Our stay at Henry House was fantastic! The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location provided close access to restaurants, shops and green spaces. Will definitely plan on returning to Henry House in the near future.
